2. Speed calibration of universal testing machine

First record the initial position of the machine crossbar, and select the speed value on the control panel (using a standard straight steel ruler crossbar stroke). When the device is started, the electronic stopwatch starts timing, and press the stop button at the same time, the stopwatch reaches the time. According to the time of the stopwatch, record the stroke value of the crossbar as the difference between the stroke value of the rate per minute (mm/min) and the straight rod, and calculate the stroke of the crossbar. The error value should not exceed ± 1%.



Regarding the calibration of the test machine. Usually the manufacturer will calibrate the universal testing machine before shipment. However, after using for a period of time, the device may have detection errors. It is best to retrieve the calibration equipment of the equipment manufacturer. The position of the reference point that must be calibrated is determined by the standard and checked during initial operation. Repeat this verification a second time. If the error and repeatability calculations for each run show an error of <1%, the measuring device passes and the calibration is verified. If the error is greater than 1%, the maintenance technician will have to manually adjust the calibration value of the measuring device to make the measurement result match the target range of the calibration device.
