TBTFWD is used to apply a known amount of stress to the pavement and then record the deflections produced due to the impact. Ambient temperature and pavement surface temperature are automatically measured by the equipment while asphalt temperature is measured manually. With required interval of points, the geophones are placed on the geophone beam, to get the deflection value when force loaded, and on the data acquisition software you can find these values and see the deflection basin.
