Introduction
TBTSCB-1 Shear Box Compactor is designed and made as per ASTM D7981 Standard Practice for Compaction of Prismatic Asphalt Specimens by Means of the Shear Box Compactor.
It simulates the compaction process of asphalt mixture during real construction, thus can make the compacted specimen closer to the compaction result of the real construction site.
It can make high quality asphalt prisms with excellent air voids distribution, homogeneity and particle orientation, user can cut or core multi-beams/cylinders from one piece asphalt prism thus can reduce different batch specimen which may bring the result difference.

1. High quality steel frame with good stability, reducing the influence of device vibration on specimen forming;
2. High precision servo motor controls horizontal shearing;
3. Shearing angle is continuously adjustable, up to 4°;
4. High precision sensor is used for precise control;
5. Computer software control, displaying shear force, compaction force, specimen height, porosity and compaction curve, and can save relevant parameters;
6. Special loading chute to ensure uniform distribution of loading;
7. Automatic demoulding after the specimen is formed;
8. Mould heater(optional configuration);
9. Specimen splitter(optional configuration).
