The road surface profiler is very light. There is no fear of hitting a fixed obstacle. The road surface profiler is as easy to use as any other system, such as the wire-scan road image system interface. After the operator turns on the scanner, data collection is a simple on-off operation that can be done automatically or manually. Data quality can be monitored. But the system itself is fully automatic without any adjustments.

1. Operation feature: easy installation


The road surface profiler weighs about 54kg and can be shipped around the world in its own reusable container. It can be mounted on almost any vehicle. All it needs is a sturdy mounting frame with a platform and six bolts. One of the most basic features of the road surface profiler is its small size and ability to be carried high up the bumper, eliminating the usual rut bar encumbers. It does not extend beyond the outline of the vehicle itself and does not cause any impact on other vehicles. There is no fear of hitting a fixed obstacle. When its installation vehicle failure needs to be towed away, it also does not have any impact on other cars. It has strong resistance to fender bender accident damage.


2. Simple interface 


The road surface profiler is as easy to use as any other system, such as the wire-scan road image system interface. It provides three digital signal lines that allow the operator to control the scan, insert event markers, and input distance measurement spacing (DMI) pulses. This gives the operator complete control over the operation of the road surface profiler to coordinate with other systems. Road surface profiler can be operated under direct operator control or computer control. After the operator turns on the scanner, data collection is a simple on-off operation that can be done automatically or manually. Data quality can be monitored. But the system itself is fully automatic, without any adjustments.


After each scan, the road surface profiler adjusts itself without any on-the-spot adjustments. On the other hand, the system provides functional options for field data quality inspection.


3. Comprehensive and expandable processing software


Road surface profiler comes with comprehensive software for general road measurement, not only scanner drivers, but also data processing software for rut and ride. The road surface profiler also comes with the ability to output data for use by other software.


For example, the GM technique is required to be measured at a constant speed greater than a certain value. It should work like this: the digital filter used to limit the long wave component requires a guide segment at least equivalent to the long wave truncation, approximately 100 meters. When installing the road surface profiler, if the road surface profiler is scanned longitudinally, the front and rear scan can be aligned with the lap section. This process is repeated to obtain a longitudinal profile without the need for an accelerometer. This measurement will not be subject to speed limits so that the vehicle does not have to maintain a constant speed. Start stop or change of speed will not affect the measurement. The results of the longitudinal scanning at one foot intervals are in good agreement with those obtained by the static measuring instrument. The vehicle starts and stops without causing the longitudinal profile to be discontinuous, so that the ride comfort of the intersection can be measured. Intersections are often the least comfortable part of the ride. This will be used to assess tyre noise, bitumen size, adhesive properties of pavement construction materials and the bite properties of tyres to pavement.
